The application was filed with the Ministry on March 29, 2006 and was awarded and published on the Official Bulletin of Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Resources No. LIV-12 - in December 2010. The area object of the exploration covers a surface of 322.5 sq km and is located in the Emilia Romagna Region and Lombardia Region.
The main exploration targets are represented by the sand levels of Miocene, Pliocene and Pleistocene deposited by turbiditic flows within the Apenninic foredeep, with some possible deeper target in the Mesozoic Limestone. The traps of hydrocarbons can be structural or mixed, related to the last phases of the Apenninic orogeny.
