This block is located in Basilicata and the exploration permit application was filed with the Ministry on March 29, 2006 and was published on the Official Bulletin of Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Resources No. L - 4 of April 30, 2006.
The Palazzo San Gervasio exploration permit application covers 470.19 sq km. The block is north and on the same production trend as Torrente Acqua Fredda. Along this trend several gas fields continue to the northwest of the block, including the Candela-Palino gas field, which has produced 605.50 Bcf gas and 600,000 barrels of condensate from 1965 to 1996 out of Middle and Upper Pliocene sands.
