The Ponte del Diavolo exploration permit, with an areal extent of 199.80 sq km, was awarded on February 2, 2009 and is located to the northwest of AleAnna’s Corte dei Signori permit.
The exploration targets in this area are the accumulations of gas within the Plio-Pleistocene turbiditic sands of the Apennines foredeep. This block is on trend with large gas fields, making this exploration permit very attractive.
AleAnna is preparing to acquire a new 3D seismic survey in 2011.
