Tre Ponti

The Tre Ponti exploration block is located mainly in Veneto administrative region and marginally in the Emilia-Romagna region and covers a surface of 742.8 km2. The application was filed at the Ministry on 31 August 2006 and it was published on BUIG (Official Bulletin of Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy) n°9 of 30 September 2006. This large area lies on several municipalities: 5 in Ferrara administrative province (Emilia Romagna region), 10 in Padua administrative province (Veneto regione), 19 in Rovigo administrative province (Veneto region) and 2 in Venice administrative province (Veneto region).

The main exploration target is represented by the biogenic gas in the sand beds deposited by turbiditic events during the Pliocene-Pleistocene.
